We’re trying to get our house refinanced by the end of this month.

(Mostly because it would make the holidays pretty cool.)

Upside: financial bennies and related niceties once it goes through.

Downside: having to jump through all the same damn hoops* you have to jump through to buy a different house (except for actually moving).

My hair’s too short to pull out, but only just barely.

* - actually, with the addition of a full-on appraisal, there are more hoops to jump through.

Heh. Heh heh heh. Just went through that in the Spring. Our condolences.

Though I can't say enough good things about the folks at Safeway Bank. In fact they just sent us another thank-you or $200 Safeway money.

If it sucks ass as much as us purchasing our first home, I would suggest sticking with the higher interest rate - might actually be worth it.
