What more is there to do but link the story?

It’s such a change from the last Gulf War, where we bombed the crap out of things from miles away and (of course) didn’t achieve any sort of solid enemy containment. This time: more control, higher cost.

Justin asked me this morning “So… why are we fighting a war?”

Oh bud, if only the answer were simple.

The US and British did engage in the same sort of fighting as we are doing now, but we didn't knock bridges out this time and we've not carpet bombed Iraqi units. In June of '44 we bombed the German units in France so heavily that it took one SS Division 22 days to move 300 miles.

The US did contain some Iraqi army groups in '91, but we ended the ground war before they could be smacked around by VII corps.

In the end, I would say Iraq will be good on the job training for the Army and Marines for when North Korea makes it's push on the South, which I'm afraid is getting closer and closer as the DPRK gets more and more in the hole economicly.

Royal Marine shot in the kevlar 4 times...and not hurt.

I think the war should be talked about to kids in a way they can grasp.

In Civ 2/3 terms.

Well Iraq was researching Nuclear Power and we need to take them out before they can threaten us with Nuclear Power and Space Flight.

Once again, it is made apparent here that Clovis knows too much stuff.
