The test, actually, was related to the old new page, which you can see is now back.

Lately I’ve witnessed a surprising drop in visits, and I couldn’t decide if it’s been because I’m posting things much more to my personal taste, or my ugly mug (the second thought echoing through my head in the remembered voice of a jovial great-uncle).

Well, unless the green scheme is even more shocking than my visage, it must be the content, because changing it back didn’t have any sort of effect.

Or it’s spring and people just aren’t browsing much. Either way.

I’m still not in love with the layout on this version of the page, but that’s not a big deal.

Anyway, I’m back.

Its not your mug. As far as I know I'm the only one who gives you crap about that.

Spring is in the air. People probably just aren't cooped up as much in front of their computers right now. Lots of yard work to be done as you know.
Ugh, I've got plenty to do myself.

I like the mug. Personable. Half smiling, even. It's good.

And there I had JUST gotten used to you staring at me. [shivers]

So the concensus is 'face good, content is the cause'. Check. :)

I'm noticing, in the past week or two (post-war?) a general downturn in both others browsing to me, and my browsing to others. My stats showed a really high spike during Holy Week. Not sure why.

Of course, I have my ugly mug on my page, too, so who knows.
