The sky-blue and spring-leaves green and bright white of our new basement room is very lively. Complimentary colors have begun their appearance (a dark blue rug on the floor, etc), but I witnessed the final gracenote of room design this weekend: the colors we picked and the funiture we have simply do not look complete until that dark-blue rug is scattered with the bright primary colors of large, blocky ‘ages <3’ children’s toys.

That’s when the room finally looked finished.

Really liked the new layout, particularly the color schemes and the bookcases. And yeah, any room is enhanced by kid toys scattered hither and yon.

Very, very nice.
