Two new things we learned this weekend:

1. Ray-baby is slightly allergic to Dizzy’s saliva (I was as well when we first got her, actually) — normally this wouldn’t prove a problem but anyone who’s met our dogs knows that this will mean more frequent trips to the sink for the chillun in the future.

We have coined the term ‘tongue-swipe rash’.

2. Lee is a very solicitous parent. This is somewhat unexpected, as Lee tends (in my mind) to associate most easily with adjectives such as ‘relaxed’, ‘cool’, ‘sardonic’ and also ‘eviscerating’ :)

‘Concerned’, ‘eager’, ‘anxious’, ‘careful’, ‘meticulous’ and other words from the solicitous Webster’s definition have not previously entered into my personal Lee-quation.

Except, I’ll allow, with regards to De — I guess it’s a family thing.

Heh. Lee was definitely not solicitous as a brother while we were growing up. Words like obnoxious, truculent, slothful, churlishness, scornful and derisive would be some of the gentler ways to describe him. Michael

Trust me on this one, Mike & Doyce. Once you've got chilluns of your own you will know the Father Feeling. I'd ellucidate, but the already-fathers out there already know and the not-yet fathers would /think/ they understand but wouldn't really. Yet. :)

I don't know where I fall in the 'father/not-father' camp -- I do get how it happened, it's just sort of... neat.

Either that, or Lee's just getting old and slow. :)

And extremly sexually attractive, I might add.
