The friday five actually posted on a friday.
1. What’s your favorite animal?
Umm… you do know what the domain name is here, don’t you?
Second place: dogs. (Dags, if you’re a piker.)
2. What pets have you had in your lifetime?
- Goldie, a golden (duh) retriever. ~ Age <3.
- Jigsy, a terrier dog. ~ Age 3.
- Coco, a peanut-butter brown cocker spaniel. ~ Age 5 to 10? Maybe?
- Goldie (my Dad picked these names, bite me), a golden lab. ~ Ages 10 to I-kid-you-not 27. An amazing dog — what’s that in dog years, 119?
- A black cat who’s name I’ve apparently repressed — he was part of the Tragic Dryer Incedent of ‘92.
- Dominic and Selena — twin tabby cats I had in college. Selena ran away and Dominic Neitche Testerman moved out to my in-laws farm.
- Thomas and Tazmina — the cats Jackie and eventually got after we moved to Denver.
- Jake — My everlovin’ Great Dane/Black Lab, whom I’ve posted pictures of before, and will again.
- Dizzy — German shepard mix puppy who’s officially Jackie’s dog. The cats are sooooo pleased.
3. Is there any specific pet that you’ve wanted but never had? Why?
Nope. I’ve never been interested in pets that need to be in a cage or a glass box. Honestly, if you can’t at least train them to come to the sound of your voice, I’m not interested.
4. Are you allergic to any animals?
I stick my face deep into Jakes fur and inhale deeply when I want to relax, so I’d say no.
5. Do you have any ‘pet’ pet peeves (your pets or others’)?
People who don’t pick up their dog’s crap when they’re out on a walk, but that doesn’t bother me as much as it does Jackie. Pisses me off a lot more when they do that at a park.
Gluttonous cats irk me. Gluttonous cats that snarf every fucking thing in sight and then puke it back up really ring my bell.
6. Bonus question: what are you doing this weekend?
Over at the Consortium tonight, and apparently people I don’t know are coming over tomorrow evening, so Saturday will involve repainting the baseboards that we dripped green paint on last weekend, and putting up some… whatever you call them when you put baseboards up by the ceiling. Sunday: no idea. Vegetate. Read.
