After calling off our normal Friday-night game tonight in order to go to an impromptu scrimmage that Justin’s football coach organized at the last minute, we realized a much bigger scheduling problem this morning.
Jackie and I are flying out to South Dakota a week from Saturday and getting back a week later on the 8th. (Non-refundable tickets that we finally bought last night, no more than 10 hours before this realization.)
Justin’s first two games? A week from Saturday and then a week later on the 8th.
See subject line.

See, now aren't you really going to be disappointed if there is no baby?

If there's no baby, we'll be shortening up the trip dramatically so that I can come back out later this year instead. :)

Well, we'll plan on being Official Cheering Idiots on the sidelines for at least one of those. "Go Moose!"
Can I ring a cow bell? I always loved the folks who rang cow bells from the bleachers in Little League.

Cow bell's at a Baseball game? How odd.
I thought Cow bell ringing was only for winter sports like hockey, skiing, speed skating, and curling.

There's no insanity like Little League parent insanity.

Have you considered wiring him up with a Bluetooth video camera and microphone, hooked up to a laptop with wireless Internet access?

The sheer geekiness of that suggestion makes me want to try it, even though I don't need to :)
