Before and after pix from the big basement project from a few months ago.

First, we refloored the thing, pulled the base boards, and painted the main ‘project’ room.

Eventually, we had to go though and paint the rest of the basement.

…including the doors, which were actually kind of fun. (This one opens into the room where the cats have all their stuff, so it has a cat door to give them access and keep the dogs out.)

Putting up the shelves involved getting five individual units from [insert mass warehouse supermegastore here] …

… then you screw them to the wall and to each other.

…and cover the seams with trim, then paint the trim.

In the end, it comes out pretty cool.

The room desperately needs beanbags in many bright, dayglo colors.

Very nice---I really like it!!! You guys could do one of those show on HGTV. I really like Mickey the Bear. I'm sure he supervised the whole thing. Sure glad we gave him to you, aren't you?

Sorry Mikey--The name's not Mickey- that's an entirely different critter that has no clout in this house!

I said it before and I'll say it again -- great job. Really makes the whole basement look better, and really looks like a nice place to lounge.
